IndiviCare 4 – A Product Launch Success Story

In 2016, over 20 million network transaction requests have been processed by IndiviCare 4.

The introduction of IndiviCare 4 has been Indivica’s most successful product launch ever. We started rolling out our new platform in volume after the product received its certification on May 10, 2016. By the end of the 2016, the software was broadly in production use by Indivica’s customers.

The 2016 adoption and performance of IndiviCare 4 has been pleasantly beyond our expectations.

A few numbers shed light on just how well the product has performed in 2016:

  • 20 million – the number of transactions served by IndiviCare 4’s network services
  • 1.5 million – the number of drug interaction requests served by IndiviCare 4
  • 50,000 gigabytes – the amount of data that has moved in and out of our Barrie data centre

One of the major benefits of Indivica’s ASP solution is our ability to deliver high performance network based services, usually without any user interaction required. The challenge, of course, is to do this quickly, efficiently, and securely.

For example, a physician’s billing and reconciliation files automatically move to and from OHIP without direct user action, just as a patient’s health card is validated automatically without forcing the clinician to do anything special or extra. Further examples include Indivica’s network services support the seamless sharing of patient data between clinics and IndiviCare 4 will highlight potential concerns if a drug or allergy is found to conflict with a new prescription.

With IndiviCare 4, the throughput and performance of our network services (over 20 million requests in 2016) has been a testament to the scale and maturity of our platform and the effort we put in before the software was actually launched.

We continue to substantially invest in our infrastructure, as we deploy the resources necessary to support our objectives for 2017 and beyond.

Cheers to 2016!

As the year draws to a close, we give thanks to our customers, for our success is dependant on yours.

2016 was a big year in the life of Indivica. It marked our 4th major release of software since we were founded in 2008.

Our business is growing and healthy. We thank all of our customers: folks that have been with us for as long as 8 years, new customers that have been with us just a few weeks or months, and returning customers, that have decided once again to trust us as your partner.

This year marked the beginning of our march towards fully online services, allowing us to provide solutions and capabilities that would be prohibitively expensive for you to deploy in your clinic.

A simple example of this is the carrier-class Intrusion Detection and Prevention technology we’ve deployed in our data centres. These are active security devices, updated in real time to defend your data against latest threats as they emerge on the Internet. The solution is prohibitively expensive to deploy in an office environment, but essential nonetheless when dealing with medical data.

Indivica continues our investment to improve our solutions for you:

  • Our operations team is deploying new data centre capacity so that we can improve our throughput across our network (we are now moving several thousand gigabytes of data every month).
  • Our software team is improving our software, refining the user experience, making it work faster and more efficiently for our users, and of course, preparing new solutions to solve your problems and assist in making your clinics run better.
  • Our Services team continues to ensure your projects are delivered as promised, and if something in your clinic goes haywire, we are there to make things better.
  • Our Support team continues to resolve your problems and answer your questions quickly and efficiently. We work very hard to ensure your experience with IndiviCare is second to none.

Cheers to 2016. Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to a happy and fulfilling 2017!

Defence in Depth. Fully Redundant. Unstoppable Service.

IndiviCare 4 is deployed in two state-of-the-art, $100M+ data centres:

  • The solution is fault tolerant and hardened against physical and cyber attacks. Our defence in depth technology includes Denial of Service protection, Intrusion Detection, Intrusion Prevention, Content Filtering, Anti-Malware, Anti-Phishing, plus Multi-Factor Biometric and Multi-Ringed physical security with 24/7 guards.
  • Each data centre is independently powered – electrical backup systems have backup systems and support the 100% Power Service Level Agreement.
  • Our backbone speed is delivered by a 100G network and this is backed by a 100% Network Uptime Service Level Agreement.
  • The geographically distributed data centres protect against natural disasters. Each houses one of your two fully synchronized EMR servers. At any time, if a fault occurs at one site, we can move your clinic to the secondary “Hot Standby” server. These Hot Standby servers are fully functional and support ongoing integration with all network based services including labs, faxes, and billing services.

IndiviCare 4 is clearly an unstoppable service.
